What is Noah Sealth about?

The letter from Chief Indian Noah Sealth in 1854 expresses his deep respect for the land and nature. Sealth rejects the proposal from the American president to buy Indian lands, as for him every tree, rock, and living creature is sacred. He warns that the way of life of white settlers is unsustainable and will destroy the environment. Although he ultimately accepts the creation of a reservation, he asks that people be taught to respect the land and to live in harmony with it.
