This study estimates the pan evaporation coefficient (Kp) in cold and dry climates using the M5 regression tree model, based on daily meteorological data from four stations in East Azerbaijan, Iran. The research demonstrates that Kp can be accurately simulated using only two variables, relative humidity and wind speed, achieving a high accuracy rate (R2 = 0.99) with a simpler approach compared to traditional methods.
