The study investigates the biodegradation potential of phyllosphere microbes from okra and eggplant for the organo-pesticides chlorpyrifos (CP) and cypermethrin (CY). Six bacterial strains were isolated and tested, with Azotobacter chroococcum (76A) showing the highest degradation rates of 85% for CP and 68% for CY. The findings suggest that these microbes could be utilized in bioremediation strategies to mitigate pesticide contamination in agricultural ecosystems.
