This dissertation investigates the half-metallic behavior and spin polarization of Fe3−xMnxZ Heusler alloys (where Z = Al, Ge, Sb) using first-principles density functional theory calculations. The author calculates structural properties, electronic structures, and spin magnetic moments of stoichiometric and non-stoichiometric Fe3−xMnxZ alloys to determine their potential for half-metallicity.
