What is A Snowy Death about?

Mattie Yoder’s grandfather has been murdered, run off the road in his Amish buggy, and his skull bashed in. Who murdered him? Was it his youngest son who’s a sexual deviant, the former businessman who hates the Amish, or a rouge Amishman from Pennsylvania who says he nearly always gets what he wants? Mattie, an excommunicated member of the Amish community in Ohio and now a Ph.D. student in physics at Ohio State University, asks Jed Fredericks, a teacher and former investigative reporter, and Ellie Steiner, a science teacher and Jed’s sleuthing sidekick, to work with the Sweet River police to help determine which of the four men murdered her grandfather. Each has a motive. His son Caleb is at odds with him over Caleb’s deviant sexual behavior. The rogue Amishman from PA says he’ll do whatever he can to acquire Troyer’s farm, and Mark Carruthers thinks all Amish people are backward and need to move into the modern world. Unfortunately, his house is in the midst of the Amish settlement.
