What is Tropical Storm Sendong and Ompong Guide about?
Sendong formed in the Philippine Sea east of the Philippines. It entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on December 15, 2011 and left on December 18, 2011, moving westward across parts of Mindanao. The storm caused catastrophic flooding and landslides in parts of Mindanao, especially Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City, resulting in over 1,200 deaths.
