This dissertation examines the effects of on-board hydrogen gas (HHO) and water injection on fuel consumption and emissions in a 28kW diesel generator. The generator was tested under various loading conditions with three rates of HHO injection, with and without water injection. Results showed HHO increased diesel consumption up to 5.2% and reduced oxides of nitrogen emissions up to 11.8% when combined with water injection.
