Academic Poster Enzymatic Pretreatment A0 by raa.hallaf is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the use of enzymatic pretreatment with fungal mash to enhance methane production and reduce waste volume during anaerobic co-digestion of activated sludge and food waste. Key findings indicate a 2.5× increase in methane yield, a 54.3% reduction in total volatile solids, and a significant decrease in digestion time. The results suggest that wastewater treatment plants can transition from energy consumers to energy producers through optimized anaerobic co-digestion strategies.
