Scientists have discovered a "super Jupiter" orbiting a star 170 light years from Earth. The gas giant planet has 13 times the mass of Jupiter and orbits a star with a mass 2.5 times larger than our Sun. The super Jupiter can be seen in an image taken by the Subaru Telescope at a distance from its parent star 1.8 times farther than Neptune is from the Sun.
