About this document
History of Scouting Movement by REGIN VILLASIS is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Scouting began in 1907 when Robert Baden-Powell founded the Scouting movement based on his experiences defending Mafeking and activities he developed there for boys. During a camp on Brownsea Island, Baden-Powell tested ideas that would form the basis of Scouting. He wrote the book Scouting for Boys in 1908, which popularized the movement. Scouting has adapted over the years to meet the needs of young people while retaining its roots in outdoor adventure, helping others, and Scouting skills.
