What is Micro-CT Analysis of Dentinal Defects about?

This study investigates the relationship between root canal preparation using the ProTaper Universal (PTU) system and the formation of dentinal defects through micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) analysis. The results indicate that while dentinal micro-cracks were observed, they were pre-existing and not induced by the canal preparation process. The findings suggest that the PTU system does not create new dentinal defects, contrasting with previous studies that reported otherwise.
