What is LU about?

The RMT met with LU management to discuss excessive track noise experienced by train operators and passengers. LU agreed to try inserting rubber tiles underneath elevated tracks by end of May/June to reduce vibration noise. The RMT will monitor how effective this is and update members. Additionally, LU proposed changes to its HOT process that the RMT found unacceptable, wanting drivers to look inside unattended items. After discussions, LU has softened its position and agrees drivers should not look inside
