What is Shy Guy about?

Greg is very shy. When he tries to speak, his words jumble together and he turns bright red. Everyone makes fun of him. But when Greg chooses a goldfish for his birthday, he picks one that is as bashful as he is. Before long, Greg discovers that sharing his pleasure and pride in his fish helps him overcome his shyness. Soon he and his pet, aptly named Shy Guy, are the talk of the town-and they both love the attention! Pef's quirky illustrations fit perfectly with this humorous story of a fishy friendship that conquers shyness.

Greg is painfully shy, turning red and stumbling over his words each time he tries to speak, until his new pet goldfish, Shy Guy, helps him to get his words unstuck.
