About this document
Load Dependent Finite Element Wear Simulation of Semi Metallic and Ceramic Friction Materials Using ANSYS by Kamlesh Shivvedi is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study compares the friction and wear properties of copper-free semi-metallic and ceramic brake materials using finite element method (FEM) simulations in ANSYS. Experimental tests showed that ceramic materials exhibited lower wear and coefficient of friction (CoF) compared to semi-metallic materials under various loading conditions. The findings indicate that ceramic brake materials are more effective and environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional semi-metallic options.
