What is Gabon about?

Gabon wants to transition from non-renewable to renewable electricity sources like solar power to improve accessibility. ENGIE signed an agreement to build eight hybrid solar power plants in Gabon with a combined capacity of 2.2 MW. This project will save over 1 million liters of fuel oil per year, reduce CO2 emissions by 2,600 tons, and lower generation costs by 30%. The plants will provide energy to isolated areas not connected to grids and limit fuel consumption, costs, and pollution.
