What is Indo-Russian Mechanics Workshop Insights about?
The Indo-Russian Workshop on Topical Problems in Solid Mechanics was held at BITS Pilani from November 11-14, 2008. There were 40 participants from elite institutions in India and Russia who exchanged innovative ideas in applied, theoretical, and experimental mechanics. While Russian researchers relied on mathematical and numerical models, Indian researchers took a more experimental approach. The workshop concluded with scientists from both countries discussing ideas for collaborative projects in mechanics.
