IMRAD format with added hypotheses and objectives This study aims to find out if S. palustris can be used as an effective over-the-counter skin product, more specifically; to evaluate it’s antibacterial and antioxidant properties in both extract and hydrogel form. It is a highly understudied plant in spite of its abundance in the locality. This study will shed light on the pharmaceutical potential of S. palustris as a glycerinated topical hydrogel.
