479 pages (large print) ; 23 cm It's been two months since her mother died unexpectedly, and Olivia, a usually independent woman who has just defended her doctoral dissertation, is still at her childhood home. Why can't she return to her life? Olivia wants only to bury herself in her mother's kitchen, finding solace in the passion they shared for cooking. When her siblings become concerned and threaten grief counseling, Olivia takes a temporary position at the local Meals on Wheels to placate them. There she stumbles on some unfinished business from her mother's past, as well as a dark family secret.
