The three large pyramids at Giza in Egypt, including the largest Great Pyramid, were built between 2550-2490 BC during the reigns of pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. The Great Pyramid built for Khufu is the only remaining ancient wonder of the world that has survived largely intact. Recently, rising groundwater levels from leaking canals and urbanization have threatened the structural integrity of the Giza pyramids.
