The study tested the effectiveness of turmeric (Curcuma longa) and ginger (Zingiber officinale) extracts on inactivating Echinococcus protoscoleces. Protoscoleces were collected from sheep livers containing hydatid cysts and their viability was confirmed. Three concentrations of each plant extract (10, 30, 50 mg/ml) were tested on the protoscoleces.
