What is Identity Analysis of Alum Bheg about?

This study analyzes the skeletal remains of Alum Bheg, a martyr from the 1857 Indian Freedom Struggle, to establish his identity through morphological features of a skull. The findings suggest that the skull belonged to a male individual approximately 30 years old and between 5 feet 8.2 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, aligning closely with historical records. The research emphasizes the importance of repatriating the skull to honor its historical significance and the individual it represents.
