What is Calcium Chloride Production Process about?

This patent describes a process for continuously producing calcium chloride by reacting hydrochloric acid with calcium carbonate. The reaction occurs within the sealed upper portion of a reactor defined by a filtration sieve. The carbon dioxide produced pressurizes the calcium chloride solution and forces it through the sieve and out of the reactor. The installation includes a reactor with means for introducing acid and carbonate, and outlets for evacuating the resulting calcium chloride solution.
