What is Humeral Component Loosening in RTSA about?

This study investigates the incidence of radiographic aseptic loosening of the humeral component in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) through a multicenter, retrospective review of 292 patients. The overall rate of loosening was found to be 0.74%, with no loosening in the press-fit group and a 1.18% rate in the cemented group. The findings suggest that both cemented and press-fit techniques provide secure fixation with a low incidence of humeral stem loosening at midterm follow-up.
