About this document

Propylene Glycol Uses and Market Trends by Savannah Yonita C is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Propylene glycol (PG) is primarily used to produce unsaturated polyester resins (UPRs) which are used in construction materials like fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRPs). PG is also commonly used as an aircraft de-icer and aircraft deicing fluid as well as a coolant and humectant in various industries. Asia is currently the fastest growing market for PG, increasing production and capacity. Glycerin may substitute some PG use due to increasing glycerin production from biodiesel manufacturing.
