What is Regulating Dormitories and Boarding Houses about?

This bill seeks to regulate dormitories and boarding houses in the Philippines to improve living conditions. It would require such facilities to obtain an operating license and meet minimum standards for rental rates, building safety, sanitation, lighting, ventilation, fire protection, waste disposal, and humane treatment of boarders. The goal is to establish a national policy that makes dormitories and boarding houses more suitable for living and learning.
