Questions about WWII Nazi Germany provide the framework for my contribution to the vast, ever-expanding body of literature on Nazi Germany: a concise, comprehensive survey intended primarily for college students with limited exposure to the subject. Narrative substance and analysis are based on current research and class lectures, which are the product of more than three decades of reading and my own research. Organization of the subject matter and the degree of coverage given to each topic correspond to my lecture notes and outlines which, in turn, reflect the needs and interests of the students. I have found, for example, that discussing Hitler and the Nazi Party within the chronological framework of German history from 1871 to 1930 (Chapters 1 and 2) contributes much to an understanding WWII Germany.
