Trichloro-and tribromoacetic acids in organic solvents react with aryl derivatives of methylene-bispiperidine and -bismorpholine with evolution of CO\* and formation of t-N-(1aryl-2,2,2,-trihalogenoethyl)-amines in good yield. The tribromoethyl derivatives, when heated in alcohol undergo transformations, in the presence of water, with the formation of the corresponding a-aryl-x-bromoacetylamines as tinal products.
