This study investigates the regeneration of spent activated carbon (SAC) using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution and hot water, aiming to restore its adsorption capacity for industrial reuse. The optimal regeneration conditions were found to be 15 mL of 6 N NaOH per gram of carbon with a contact time of 30 minutes, achieving over 90% efficiency in iodine adsorption tests. The results indicate that chemical regeneration is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to disposal or thermal regene
