Exergy Costs in SOFC-VAR Hybrid Systems by Andres Mauricio is a document available to read on EtoBox.
What is Exergy Costs in SOFC-VAR Hybrid Systems about?
This paper applies the Exergy Cost Theory (ECT) to analyze a hybrid system consisting of a 500 kW solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stack and a vapor absorption refrigeration (VAR) system. A model is developed using software to compute the unit exergy costs of electricity, cooling, and residues from the system. The model considers chemical, electrochemical, thermodynamic, and economic equations. Simulation of different scenarios allows analysis of how stack current density, fuel use, temperature across the stack
