This study evaluated the use of advanced MRI techniques like diffusion and perfusion weighted imaging to determine the grade of 40 intra-axial brain tumors, compared to histopathology. Perfusion weighted imaging showed a sensitivity of 82.6% and accuracy of 80.65% in determining tumor grade, higher than diffusion weighted imaging which had a sensitivity of 69.57% and accuracy of 70.97%.
