This study aimed to screen 200 symptomatic women in rural India for cervical cancer using Pap smears. None of the women had previously received Pap testing. Pap smears found 56% were normal, 32.5% showed inflammation, 5.5% showed low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL), and 2.5% showed high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL).
