This document analyzes the stability of a control system with different values of the gain Ki by examining the closed loop transfer function and roots. It shows that with Ki=5, the roots are real. With Ki=20, two roots are complex conjugates. Higher values of Ki=45 and Ki=50 cause the roots to move further into the left half plane, improving stability but increasing overshoot. A root locus diagram shows the changing location of the closed loop poles with varying Ki.
