What is Overview of the Angry Young Men Movement about?

The document discusses the "Angry Young Men", a group of British writers in the mid to late 1950s. They expressed anger at class distinctions and scorn for the socio-political order. They disliked hypocrisy and mediocrity among the upper classes. Disillusioned and discontent, they opposed establishment rules and bourgeois values. Their plays attempted to spread their enthusiasm, resulting in works that burst forth with unconventional language on familiar themes.
