What is Water Reuse System at JCEC Explained about?

Treated water is pumped via reuse pumps for non-potable uses within the plant and to supply areas of North Fulton County. The pumps provide 5.5 million gallons per day at 150 pounds of pressure. For plant use, pressure is reduced to 80 psi and sent through purple pipes. Non-potable reuse at the facility includes irrigation, cleaning, lubrication, refilling ponds and streams, and fire protection. Toilets also use reuse water. A dye system colors indoor water dark blue to prevent drinking.
