What is The Day about?

Evan discovers that time has stopped for everyone except him, as he witnesses his teacher and classmates frozen in place. As he explores the still world, he encounters a mysterious figure that reveals he has been removed from time and must choose between returning to his normal life or remaining outside of time forever. Ultimately, he decides to return, but realizes he has been marked and will not escape the experience again when time stops once more.
