About this document

Understanding NAND Gate Functions by Carl Jasper Bulalayao is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The NAND gate has an output that is normally high and goes low only when all inputs are high. It is the complement of the AND gate. The NAND gate performs logical addition on the complements of its inputs. NAND gates can be constructed using transistors and are available as integrated circuits with 2, 3, or 4 inputs. The NAND gate is considered a "universal" gate because any other logic gate function can be produced using only NAND gates.
