This study identifies Src family kinases (SFKs) as potential therapeutic targets for chemotherapy-resistant triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). Inhibition of SFKs using dasatinib significantly reduced tumor growth in chemotherapy-resistant TNBC xenografts, although a low prevalence of SFK-driven tumors was observed in human samples. The findings highlight the importance of characterizing phosphotyrosine signaling profiles to better stratify patients and guide therapeutic options.
