What is Maternity Leave GO about?
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned 60 days of paid maternity leave for married women employees working on outsourcing and contract basis for their first two deliveries. This decision was made in response to concerns raised by the APNGOs Association regarding the hardships faced by these employees due to unpaid maternity leave. The new policy is effective immediately and applies to all relevant departments and officials in the state.
