About this document
Debating Common Math Myths by MM Commission is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document outlines the format and rules for a roundtable discussion and debate on commonly held math myths. The roundtable will be divided into four rounds, with each focusing on debunking or affirming one of four myths: that men are more mathematically capable than women; mathematical competence is determined by genes; not everyone can do math; and that math is just memorization. For each myth, students will give opening and closing statements presenting evidence either supporting or debunking the myth
