The USACE conducted a $3.5 million study of shore damage along the Saco River and Camp Ellis Beach in Saco, Maine. The study recommended a project to reduce erosion, which was within the $26.9 million cost limit set by Congress. However, the City of Saco declined to support the recommendation. After further discussions, the City again declined the recommendation and the USACE terminated the study in January 2020.
