What is Feminist Perspectives on Trauma and Witnessing about?

This special issue of Australian Feminist Studies explores feminist perspectives on witnessing, trauma, and social suffering, emerging from a 2009 conference. It critiques the dominant trauma paradigm and emphasizes the importance of understanding trauma in social contexts, particularly through feminist and queer lenses. The essays included address various case studies and highlight the need for cross-disciplinary approaches to analyze and respond to collective experiences of suffering and trauma.
