This study investigates the therapeutic effects of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) on temporomandibular joint injury in rats caused by chronic sleep deprivation (CSD). Results showed that LIPUS significantly improved the condition of condylar cartilage, promoting chondrocyte proliferation and reducing osteoclast activity and expression ratios of MMP-3/TIMP-1 and RANKL/OPG. The findings suggest that LIPUS may serve as an effective non-invasive treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders.
