This study examined coprophilous (dung-dwelling) fungi in Iran. Samples of cow, sheep, horse dung and mouse feces were collected from different locations in West and East Azerbaijan provinces. Isolation of fungi was done using a moist chamber culture method. Five fungal taxa - Arthrobotrys conoides, Botryosporium longibrachiatum, Cephaliophora irregularis, Oedocephalum glomerulosum, and Podospora pauciseta - were identified based on morphological characteristics and DNA sequencing, and represent new records
