What is Lagrangian Heuristic for Satellite Scheduling about?

This document summarizes a research paper about developing an optimization tool to schedule communications between satellites and ground control stations. The scheduling problem has become more challenging as more satellites need to communicate through a limited number of stations. The researchers propose a time-indexed linear programming formulation to model the complex constraints of the scheduling problem. They also develop a Lagrangian heuristic to find near-optimal solutions for large problem instanc
