This document describes a method for synthesizing nano-titanium diboride powders using borothermic reduction. Boron carbide and titanium isopropoxide were used as source materials for boron and titanium. Three concentrations of titanium isopropoxide solutions were prepared and reacted. The products were heat treated between 900-1200°C.
