What is Salem Witch Trials: Hysteria of 1692 about?

In 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts, two girls began exhibiting strange symptoms that were diagnosed as bewitchment. This sparked a widespread hysteria where over 200 people were accused of witchcraft. 20 people were ultimately executed. Spectral evidence, such as claims of seeing ghosts, was allowed in trials, guaranteeing convictions. The trials came to an end when the governor returned and disbanded the special court established to hear the witchcraft cases.
