What is HDFC Life NAV Computation Update about?

The Insurance and Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA) has modified the formula for computing the Net Asset Value (NAV) for Linked funds, effective from 2nd August 2011. The new formula simplifies the computation by excluding the distinction between appropriation and expropriation prices, focusing instead on the market value of investments, current assets, accrued income, and liabilities. All linked fund policy contracts are now subject to this updated NAV calculation method.
