William IV was King of the United Kingdom from 1830 until his death in 1837. As his two older brothers died without legitimate heirs, he inherited the throne at age 64. His reign saw several reforms including updates to poor laws, restrictions on child labor, abolition of slavery in the British Empire, and electoral reforms.
