A novel expression is presented from which kinetic parameters, activation energy (E) and reaction order (n), may be estimated from a single DTA thermogram. A simpler version of this expression was presented by PILOYAN. The two expressions are compared and the limitations of the PILOYAN equation are mentioned. ## ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Es wird eine neue Gleichung vorgeschlagen, mit der es moglich ist, aus einem einzigen DTA-Thermogramm die Aktivierungsenergie (E) und die Reaktionsordnung zu ermitteln. Eine einfachere Version dieses Ausdruckes wurde schon friiher von PILOYAN angegeben. Die beiden Ausdrucke werden verglichen, und es wird der Geltungsbereich der Gleichung von PILOYAN abgeschiitzt.
