The SHANSEP MC model is a constitutive soil model that accounts for changes in undrained shear strength Su based on the effective stress state and stress history of the soil. It is based on the Mohr-Coulomb model. Laboratory tests show that soils with the same overconsolidation ratio but different consolidation stresses exhibit similar stress-strain behavior when results are normalized by consolidation stress.
